Businessmen/women, school children and retired folk are all extremely well catered for with regards to public transport. There is a quality Ulsterbus service that runs regularly throughout the day to Belfast and back. This has allowed local families to build connections with outstanding Belfast schools and ensure that businessmen/women can commute to and from work without any hassle. Sport within the community has always been vast, with the nearby Comber having a local football club (Comber Recreational FC) and Cricket Club (North Down CC), as well as having its own recently refurbished Leisure Centre. Comber Rec FC play between the two top-tier leagues of NI amateur league football, and North Down CC play in the senior league of NI cricket - winning the league twenty-three times since the club's founding in 1857. Further to these two main clubs, the local Hollow Farm Shooting Club and Comber Bowling Club provide an alternative and popular pastime.
Residents can also enjoy local eateries The Auld House and Balloo House. The Auld House serves a wide range of fantastic food using only the freshest, locally sourced quality ingredients. The Auld House boasts a perfect central location - set seven miles from Belfast City Centre, three miles from Carryduff and four miles from Comber. Balloo House is an award-winning restaurant, set a stones-throw away from Strangford Lough. Balloo caters for all, from family get-togethers and private parties to professional business meetings.
There is no shortage of local schools, both primary and secondary to the residents of Moneyreagh. Nearby, there are some of Northern Ireland's leading primary, grammar and secondary schools.
Accessible to residents of Moneyreagh is the Comber Greenway - a seven-mile walkway running from Belfast to Comber, which was completed in 2008 following the renovation of the idle railway line which had long since closed. It is a traffic-free zone, which is increasingly popular with cyclists, runners and walkers throughout the year. It provides a wonderful setting and fantastic overhead views of some of Belfast's most well known landmarks, such as the Harland & Wolff Cranes, Stormont's Parliament Buildings and the iconic CS Lewis Statue.
